Family Fun-Day Sunday

The Sunday before my big CSCS test (for which I studied over 6 months; so glad it's over; gosh, I better have passed), I decided that I'd had enough with the books and figured that my family had probably had enough of my studying and half-present state of mind. So, we skipped all errands that day, studying, chores, even church (naughty) to be at home and hang out with each other. And as it was the week before Halloween, we carved pumpkins all morning long with the kids. Ellie LOVED the process; we'd been reading a book all about picking out and carving jack-o-lanterns for a while, so she really understood the process and got a kick out of the whole thing. Charlie enjoyed his balloons. Maybe next year he'll be more into the pumpkins.
