Ellie's Heaven

Ellie had the single greatest day of her life a few weeks ago when my sister and I took her to Disney on Ice. We started with a breakfast in a little coffee shop/bar (strange combo, I know) in Uptown Charlotte...she was so well-behaved, munching away on a buttered bagel atop a suede covered stool (she slipped off about 10 times, but she tried very hard to fit in with the hip, swank adult crowd. Then, it was off to the arena for a little slice of Ellie heaven. We saw all of her favorite princesses, she felt gorgeous sporting her Cinderella gloves the whole time, and she even got to pick out an extravagantly priced silly souvenier...she came home with a plastic sparkly Snow White doll. Hey, at least it wasn't one of the 15$ snow cones! Annie and I just loved peeking over at Ellie throughout the show...she was positively GLUED! Once the show was over, we headed out for a girls' lunch at Panera. Ellie was being so good that day (and really, why wouldn't she be?!) that it truly felt like a nice lunch out with two of my girlfriends. It was a full, fabulous day. I can't remember if she napped when we got home, but for my sake, I sure hope she did.
