Swingin' at the Park

Annie and I took Ellie to the park yesterday to swing in the baby swings and to watch all of the other kids play.  She had a ball!  Best part, though, was that the swing put her into a total trance...she was a little zombie...must've been like getting a massage, or something.  One of the other moms at the swings even asked me if my toddler was always "this quiet."  Ha!...not quite.

AFTER the Park...Tired Kiddo!!

This is the aftermath of our trip to the park.  You should've seen the dark circles under her eyes.  She was as relaxed and as asleep as she could be, without her eyes being closed!  Needless to say, we're going "parking" again today...Mommy enjoys 45 minutes of trance-baby!

AFTER Ellie's First Professional Haircut!!

Happy baby!  I think she feels much prettier now.  This is before the gal blow dried her hair, so it really looks even prettier than this.  I couldn't pass up posting this cute smile, though.

BEFORE Ellie's First Professional Haircut...

Auntie Noni and I took Ellie for her first haircut today at the cutest kids' hair cuttery, called Doolittle's.  This is the BEFORE picture...check out that mop/mullet!!  She loved every minute of sitting in that cool car and watching "Ratatouille" on her personal TV screen.  It cost me a whopping 8$!!  I spend close to $200 every time I get my hair done, and even I don't get to ride in a sweet car or watch DVDs!!!  Such a deal.

Come Visit Us During Spring Training!!!

This is the resort we'll be getting to stay at during Spring Training in Orlando this year during the month of March!  I can't wait!  Hard work for Joe, but it looks like a mini-vacation for me and Ellie.  It's called The Ginn Reunion Resort, and oh, how we would love any family and friends to come visit us and take a mini-vacation, themselves.  Come one, come all!  You'd make it so much more fun for us.  Joe will be pretty unavailable, but E and I will be doing lots of pool time, trips to Disney, watching some baseball, enjoying the 70-80 degree weather, etc.

Brrrrrrrr! Even Grocery Shopping is Cold Here Now!

Date Night with Sloan in the Wagon

This was the cutest thing I've ever seen!  I took Ellie over to visit with her little boyfriend, Sloan (our friends', Tim and Denise Pettus', son), and we walked them over to Panera across the street for dinner.  We loaded them both up into Sloan's red wagon, bundled them up to face the 30-something degree weather, and headed out the door.  They LOVED it!

Licorice Lady!!

Ellie just discovered the delicious-ness of licorice over at Auntie's house just the other day...yummy!  And I just discovered how quickly sugar can adjust this child's mood=).  This was really the first time I've ever let the mess get out-of-control, and it was so worth the laughs.  Momma's slowly learning to lighten up and let this little one wallow in her filth every once in a while!

Auntie Noni and Uncle John

Here is a pic of Auntie Noni and Uncle John....they are the best sister and brother in-law ever (can you tell Annie is writing this entry???) and LOVE to babysit Ellie, especially when she is napping!

Welcome to the Borchards' Blog!  We know it is hard to keep in touch with everyone across the country, so here is our attempt to keep you updated on our lives....enjoy!
