Modeling the new 'Do

Ellie got her Easter haircut this afternoon at the most darling kids' salon in Charlotte.  She got to sit in a fire engine, watch Charlie Brown's Easter cartoon, and pic out a new giant pink hair bow.  As you can tell from the rat's nest she was sporting in previous postings, this kiddo was LONG overdue for a chop.  Boy, have I ever learned that you get what you pay for when it comes to kids' haircuts.  The last one I got for her was in Orlando at a Hair Cuttery...you know, like a Fantastic Sam's knock-off.  That thing lasted for about a week; in the blink of an eye, we were back to the red mullet again.  I think I paid 8 bucks for that job.  I paid a whopping $17 for her 7 minutes in the fire engine today, and by the time I paid for the bow and left a tip, we were up to a whopping $28!!  Totally worth it, though.  She looks absolutely darling, she had a ball, and I think it will last for longer than a week.  For $28, it better!

And yep, I guess my kids do actually look at and smile for the camera on occasion...only when they feel like a million bucks, though.  Can you tell this girl feels beautiful?
